We highlight the recognition made by the Revista Sábado, of El Mercurio, where Victoria Lobos, foundress of Patagonia’n Yeast was part of the 100 young leaders of the year 2016.

"This agronomist engineer, from Católica University of Temuco, created the first yeast for brewing and fermented beverage use in Chile, Latin America and the Caribbean.

The idea arose while doing his undergraduate thesis and, after four years of work, he found an endemic fruit from the south to characterize his yeast. He participated in the Leaders in Innovation Program in London, where he won the first place, and in October 2015 created Patagonian Yeast, a company dedicated to the analysis and production of yeast for the brewing industry. "I started by trying that Chile does not depend on foreign industry to acquire yeast, and ended up being the work of my life, and something that currently has great projection, "says Victoria.

The brand has agreements with two national companies, one international and two multinationals, with whom they intend to expand the product to the five continents."
